ZIJO SARIC
He was born in Bosnia-Herzegovina and has lived in Seattle, United States, since 1995. As a young man, he played many sports, including bocce, which he has been playing for almost 40 years. In bocce, he was involved as a player, coach/instructor, referee, organizer, and official.
Zijo established the first bocce sport club in Bosnia-Herzegovina in 1984 and later many other clubs across the country. Together with a group of sports enthusiasts, he established the Bocce Sport Federation of Bosnia-Herzegovina in 1988.
